Segovillalba!!

I don't have a ton of time this week haha because we've been walking around Segovia all day!! And it decided to pour on us and we got completely soaked haha; but better than the very very very hot heat. Such a beautiful city! Don't worry I'll attach pictures. But this week was really good! We had Intercambios on Thursday and once again I learned sooooo much! I was comps with Hermana Orjuela, the cutest hermana ever from Colombia but grew up in Mallorca, an island in the Barcelona mission and she's a máquina of a missionary. So much fun. And so so hot haha. We got to eat with some very Spanish and very nice members and we taught some lessons to some very humble people. Very fun.

On Friday we had another Día de encontrar and it went really well! We seem to be having those a lot haha but they're really fun. We experience so many miracles every time. This time, two of our new amigos are siblings and we're super excited about that. The brother in the past had said he didn't have any interest but we were still teaching the sister English. And we were planning on teaching the sister the gospel on friday but then the brother showed up to the cita too. We didn't really know what to do but we had a really fun English lesson with both of them and then as we were ending, the brother suggested that the next time we meet we should talk about the gospel!! We were pretty excited about that haha.

We also met a new friend named Ángel. Ángel is homeless and always carries around the spain equivalent of a shopping cart, but we taught him the first lesson on a bench and he loved it! And we've randomly seen him in the street a couple times since then and he always says "my frieeeends!" (in English too haha) and makes sure we're not gonna forget about our upcoming cita (martes a la una haha). So kind of an interesting situation but I know that Ángel is a son of a loving Heavenly Father and Heavenly Father is very happy that he's having the opportunity to hear the gospel.

On Saturday we went to a double baptism in Segovia with Manuel so he could see what a baptism is like and it was so cute. The branch in Segovia has some of the most firme members and they're all super excited about all the baptisms that are happening. And as we were listening to the testimonies of the people getting baptized, I felt the spirit testifying to me that baptism is SOOO important and it not only brings us closer to Christ, it brings families together and brings extreme happiness into people's lives. That is why I am here. To bring people that. And then on Sunday the bishops son got baptized and that was also one of the cutest things ever. I once again felt very strongly of the crucialness of baptism and ahhh it just made me so excited to help Manuel experience that and hopefully so many people after that.

This week one of my favorite scriptures is Alma 48:17-

"Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men."

I sure would like to make sure that Satan never ever has power over my heart, I don't know about you. I invite you all to research a little but about Moroni this week and see if you can become a little bit more like him; because that will also help you on your journey to become a little more like Christ!

Love you all!!

Pringles save us

This week we just did a nice little tour of the south, which was very nice because all the other cities aren't as hot as malaga plus all the other hermanas pisos have air conditioning haha. We went from malaga to fuengirola to ronda to Jaén to Granada and back to malaga. And when we finally stepped of the bus back in malaga, the heat hit and humidity hit us harder than ever and we had already started back on filling those lakes just on our short walk back to piso. I love Málaga. On all of our very long bus rides we got very hungry but you're not allowed to eat on the buses because of Mascarillas. And the only food item we ever had was Pringles because it's the only good thing they sell at bus stations, so we would just slide one under the mask and into our mouths every few minutes when nobody was looking so we didn't starve to death. We really know how to do things right. When we were in Jaen on intercambios, we visited this cute member family. And like I said, they wer...

Rondaaaa

This week was a partyyyy! On Tuesday, our favorite members, Ana y Fernando, wanted to take us to their favorite buffet in fuengirola, but when we got there, the original buffet no longer exists, but in its place was a sushi buffet haha. So we went. First time sushi eater here. But my dear sweet little companion helped me pick the things that weren't gonna kill me so I very much appreciated that. And then Ana just Had to buy us these little owl family souvenirs with their names as the parents and me and Hermana Larsen as the children hahaha (pictured below) they're so sweet.  We had a Cita this week with an amiga named Joy. She's an amiga of the malaga 2 hermanas, but they're both Latinas and Joy doesn't speak Spanish so we're helping them out. She's so sweet. They had planned to teach her about. she evangelio de Jesucristo, the pasos that we have to take in this life, and invite her to be baptized. We started talking about the first paso, faith, and I asked ...

Lakes to slightly smaller lakes

A nice little heat wave from Africa came in the last couple days. In the form of very very hot wind. But it did take down the humidity levels from our normal 85%. So instead of sweating lakes all day, we are sweating slightly smaller lakes. Feeling very blessed. Except for actually not having the humidity for a day felt very strange. I felt like I was about to shrivel up from dehydration. Vamos a ver what utah does to me haha. But it's been a really good week! We had two intercambios which means a week full of parties and lots of lessons and lots of learning. Always so much fun. We have a friend named Sebastián and we were finally able to meet with him in person to give him a book of Mormón. He was so excited to have one and right after the lesson he was gonna head to the beach to lay out and read the book of mormón. But we ended up giving him two books because he wanted to share one with his mom as well. Que máquina! We also met with our friend Fredy and he came to church yesterda...
