Miles of olives

Hola hola! It's been a pretty exciting week! It snowed in Málaga! I mean we weren't here to see it but we heard all about it! We took a nice week vacation to Granada and Jaén haha. We had Intercambios with the hermanas in both those areas so we were out of our area from Tuesday go Friday so a little rough but we experienced so many miracles that kept the work going here.  During Intercambios in Granada, we visited this cute little member named Maria who took us on a field trip all around the city to fun her errands before we finally sat down to share a message and drink some colacao. And a recent convert lives next door and was so excited to tell us that he finished the book of Mormon! He was so excited that he signed the end of the book and we took a picture :) I hope we're all that excited to read the scriptures.  And then during Intercambios in jaén (where there are miles and miles of olive trees), we visited another cute little member named Juanita who gave us M...

Chips and fish?

Well today I ate fish and chips and held a monkey. We visited Gibraltar, the British territory at the most southern tip of Spain. You can see Africa across the ocean and there are red British telephone booths everywhere haha. We took a nice taxi drive up to the top of the Rock where we got to play with the monkeys and see the incredible view. I'll attach some pictures no se preocupe. A monkey even jumped on one of the hermanas heads. And I may have accidentally called it chips and fish and everyone got mad at me and I couldn't figure out why for a hot second.  On Thursday we had zone conference and it was a blast! Us and the zone leaders did a taller together and it was all about unity and ánimo and stuff and we played this hilarious game with boxes and tennis balls and I don't really know how to explain it but basically everyone is just confused until they realize they have to work together. We also had everyone write on a balloon what they wanted to contribute to the...

Well snap!

First off I've got to start by apologizing to my mom because I forgot to tell her that I had a changed pday this week and I think that gave her a nice scare when I didn't have anything to say on Monday. But no se preocupen we are doin just dandy down here in malaga. It has been a pretty fun week. We started the week up in Madrid for consejo and it was super cool! It was fun to talk about goals and what we are going to focus on for the next little while in the mission and how we could reach every individual missionary to inspire them to want to do their best. I learned so much! The spirit is always so strong in situations like that! Our train wasn't scheduled to go back until Wednesday morning and so we had a meeting with the zone leaders to plan for zone conference and got everyone playing the snap game where you play catch with snapping so it's ridiculous but it's so much fun and we were having a pretty good time hahaha. Afterwards, we stayed the night with som...

Wise men still seek him

Happy new years and feliz día de los Reyes! Festivos here are just crazy and we quite enjoy them. Today is día de los Reyes and that's like Christmas on steroids for the spanish people. Last night we visited a member family and we got to eat roscón (a donut shaped cake with the three kings hidden inside, if you find one you'll have a prosperous year) and they told us all about the spanish traditions. There was a huge parade and tons of candy on the street. Everyone compares it to the 4th of July when they try to describe it to us haha. We're headed to Madrid today though so we're hoping we can catch something cool up there.  The new year's tradition in Spain is to eat 12 grapes in the last 12 seconds of the year, and if you can do it well, you'll have success in all the months if the year. I got all the grapes in, I may have been chewing for 5 minutes afterward but I think that still counts :) we had some other Hermanas staying with us in our piso so we had ...
