Stand ye in holy places

Heyyy ya'll so this week not a lot yet a lot happened haha. Quarantine is slowly lessening so today we went on a little hike up by the malaga castle so my comp could see it before she leaves next week and we walked around centro a little and got churros and chocolate and it was nice to get out and see centro. On Saturday we also had our first Cita that wasn't over video call! A member invited us over to eat and oh my goodness it wqs probably one of the craziest eating citas i have had on my mission. They were fighting the whole time because apparently they tried to use the wrong kind of rice for paella and it took like 3 hours longer than they thought so they couldn't give that to us so they gave us crab salad and vegan tortilla de patata and there were only 3 drink options: non-alcoholic beer, gazpacho (if you don't know that that is, look it up, its terrible. Basically a tomato onion smoothie), and something called ajo blanco, which is a drink that comes from the moun...

The final countdown

Well another exciting week it has been! As a mission, we read the book of mormon in 2 days and oof it was kind of exhausting but I loved it! I loved seeing the excitement it brought people and the spirit that it brought into our lives and those that participated with us. And my favorite part was hearing everyone's testimonies at the end and just being surrounded by the spirit testifying of the truthfulness of that book! We also got a little taste of Colombia this week! I met this guy on Facebook named Samuel and he doesn't live in Spain, but we got to teach him over video call and my oh my i have never seen someone so ready to be baptized. He basically taught himself all the principles of the gospel and asked how he could join our church and then share it with others all in the space of about an hour, and he's well on his way in the book of mormon. Incredible. On Monday night last week we met with Mathias to talk about his baptism and see if he would be able to be baptized ...

Bloom into a flour

Holaaaa! I hope you all had an incredible week and a great mother's day! Our week was very filled with lots of meetings. Very good meetings. But it didn't leave time for much else. In leadership council we talked about how "a crisis is a terrible thing to waste" and how soon we will look back and see these days as "the good ole days" because we will make them so amazing. President asked us what we would do if we were to create missionary work from scratch, how would we share the gospel with people. And it made me think. Because in so many ways, we are starting from ground zero but the ability and the opportunity to be creative is what is bringing so many miracles!  We also had zone conference and one of my favorite quotes that Hermana bussey shared was:  "When you're in a dark place,  you sometimes tend to think you've been buried.  Perhaps you've been planted.  Bloom." it just made me think a little bit :) we also talked a lot about t...

I should probably study the Bible more

Ok so this week has been hilarious and I loved it a lot. On Wednesday we had a mission finding day and we were able to find 3 new people to teach and then another one the next day and I just love them all and I want to tell you about them.  Ok so first, there's Esther. She is actually a member reference from a really long time ago and she would come to church and activities every once in a while, but she would never make time to meet with the missionaries. On Wednesday morning, she texted us and said she was available that afternoon for a video call! Vamoos! Milagro número uno. So we taught her about the book of mormon and José smith and met her kids who are very cute. On Friday, we were able to teach her again and I just enjoyed it very much. We talked about the plan of salvation, and she thinks exactly the same as I do and had lots of questions and so I was able to answer her questions and we had a really cool discussion. Afterwards, as I was reflecting on the lesson, I reali...
