Corrida de toros!!

I am now an official witness of a real live bull run. And I'm still here don't fret. And it wasn't too crazy. A bunch of teenage boys running from some angry bulls to prove their strength or something idk sometimes Spain is a little crazy haha. This whole week has been festivo in Villalba and yeah Spain definitely likes to party. Every day for the last 7 days about every couple hours there was a parade (which is basically a band playing some fun music and a bunch of people who may or may not be a little drunk walking through the streets) and every day for the last 7 days about every 30 seconds, a bomb went off in celebration. I think I may be a little hard of hearing now and the next time I talk to my dad I might have to ask him to speak up because he's mumbling (probably only my family will get that joke). No but it was really fun to see the people here so emerged in their culture and I learned a lot more about Spain in the process.  We have someone (kind of) on f...

If I don't email next week you'll know why

This week we had zone conference and as always, it was amazing!! We also had the death meeting of one of my companions so we were in Madrid for two days and the mission nurse (cutest little single lady from Washington) invited us over for dinner in her piso (the first time in 4 months that I've eaten dinner early than 9 pm) and so we got to spend a little bit of time with her and she is the perfect example of a woman of faith. And she fed us a nice meal where we could eat however much we wanted and weren't forced to stuff ourselves to the rafters so that was a blessing.  One of my favorite things that Hermana bussy always says at zone conference is that in this mission, we believe in miracles. And it's so true. We see the Lords hand in everything, but believing in miracles is also believing in modern and personal revelation. God is real and is still very involved en the life of each one of his children.  We had quite the interesting Cita this week. A few weeks ago,...

Trio trio trio! (said as if in a conga line of three people)

This is last week's email because it accidentally didn't send so you just get double the fun this week :)  This week has been a party! Missionary work with three people is a little different but I actually love it. I'm learning so much! And not to mention that my Spanish is rapidly improving because one of my companions is from Argentina and doesn't speak any English. And they are both hilarious! I love them so much. Hermana Fernández can talk really fast and she makes us laugh super hard every time she starts on one of her "rants". Hahaha. Today we went to segovia again for pday because my new companions hadn't seen it yet and Villalba is the closest area so that was a party. But sooooo hot. My companions love contacting in the street so that's nice. We play a fun little tag game where we all contact separate (because we don't want to bombard people with three of us) but we still have to stay within sight and sound haha. It makes life...

Two by two ... err I mean three by three

I'm gonna be in a trio!! Didn't see that one comin'. On Sunday during personal study, I went to read in preach my gospel and the first thing I opened to was D&C 42:6 which says- "And ye shall go forth in the power of my Spirit, preaching my gospel, two by two..." so that was kind of ironic haha. God sure does have a sense of humor. Literally everything is gonna be crazy because they're changing everything this transfer. So my trainer is going to Malaga to be a sister training leader and I'm getting two new companions! A native and an Hermana from Utah who will be going home next transfer. And they're taking the elders out of Villalba and switching around the district boundaries so now we're gonna be pretty far away from the rest of our district haha. But I'm excited, it's gonna be a party (well, it will be after we figure out how to fit three beds in our piso haha). And I'm officially done with training! Time flies!  MANUEL GOT...

Segovillalba!!

I don't have a ton of time this week haha because we've been walking around Segovia all day!! And it decided to pour on us and we got completely soaked haha; but better than the very very very hot heat. Such a beautiful city! Don't worry I'll attach pictures. But this week was really good! We had Intercambios on Thursday and once again I learned sooooo much! I was comps with Hermana Orjuela, the cutest hermana ever from Colombia but grew up in Mallorca, an island in the Barcelona mission and she's a máquina of a missionary. So much fun. And so so hot haha. We got to eat with some very Spanish and very nice members and we taught some lessons to some very humble people. Very fun.  On Friday we had another Día de encontrar and it went really well! We seem to be having those a lot haha but they're really fun. We experience so many miracles every time. This time, two of our new amigos are siblings and we're super excited about that. The brother in the past h...
