Milagros por Miles Habrá!! (Miracles by Miles there will be!)

This week was incredible. We taught a lot of lessons and I'm getting a lot of practice in on my Spanish:) so that's good. We found 6 new amigos to teach this week and that's a mission record for my trainer, so I mean I guess that's a mission record for me too! 4 of those were in one day, and thats the milagro (miracle) of the week. As a district, we decided to have a día de encontrar (a day of finding) and our goal was to find 13 new people that day. Every night, we would pray as a district that God would place those 13 prepared people in our path on that day. For the morning we camped out in one spot with our big book of mormon poster and talked to everyone who walked past. There are the people who shake their head and say "no gracias," the people who try to avoid all eye contact so maybe we won't talk to them (it doesn't work), and there are the people who try to tell you you're wrong (luckily we only ran into one of those). But most importantly...

¡Viva España! y ¡Feliz Pascua! (Long live Spain! and Happy Easter!)

This sister missionary finally made it to Spain!! It is beautiful here really. My last few days at the MTC were bittersweet; I really am going to miss the environment there and all the friends I made. But on to bigger and far better things! :) I successfully made it through my first two plane rides of my life (total flight time a total of 10ish hours) and our group of 13 landed safely down in Madrid with only two missing suitcases (not mine thankfully). President and Hermana Bussey are incredible people and I'm super excited that I get to work with them. My trainer is Hermana Ritman, she's from Surprise, Arizona and I'm in the Villalba area which is just north of Madrid I'm pretty sure and the members here are so cute. I'm finally almost over the jetlag but not quite. The first few days, I almost fell off my chair a couple of 20 times and couldn't keep my eyes open for anything, but I'm finally adjusting to the time change so that's made things a lot ea...

Last week at the MTC!!

Hola everyone! It's crazy to think that in a week from today I will be in Spain! I successfully got my visa so that's a relief. We got to take a fun field trip to UVU on Monday to visit with the consulate from Spain and I definitely noticed how much attention we attract as missionaries and confirmed the importance of making sure we are always acting like representatives of our Savior.  We had a loaded weekend here. First off there was conference which was incredible; the MTC president reminded us that our MTC auditorium was an extension of the Conference center, and when the prophet walked in, we all stood up and it was completely silent. I felt the spirit confirm to me that President Nelson is a prophet of God and he speaks exactly what the Lord needs us to hear. And then during the priesthood session on saturday night, Elaine S. Dalton came to speak to all the sisters and that was also amazing. She talked to us about how our most powerful weapon is our testimony of our Sa...

It's not about you, it's about the Savior!

Hola Hola! Just over here living a pretty great life. I officially made it through my first fast Sunday as a missionary. Lets just say that the MTC cafeteria is a whole new world on a fast Sunday evening. It was also April Fools Day on Monday, as many of you probably know, and we tried to pull a prank on our teacher and he didn't believe it for a second so that was unfortunate. My Aunt Brenda sent Krispy Kreme donuts and soft pretzels last week, and it was like Christmas for all the sisters in the residence it was hilarious. And same with everything my mom sends; I have pretty great people in my life.  We finished teaching Hazel on Friday and starting teaching a cute girl named Desiree this week. We got to teach her about how Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are two separate people and how they both love us so much. And next we'll be teaching her about the Atonement because she has a lot of questions about that. We had  a super great discussion in class this week about the...
