Livin' a good life

We have so many golden people right now! So last Monday we invited a couple that we're teaching to be baptized the 12th of October. Which they have some palabra de Sabiduría things to work on so we'll see where that goes but we're excited about them.

We are also teaching a girl named Patricia. I don't remember if I've said something about her before. She's super sweet and oh yeah she always has her hamster on her shoulder. But possibly her hamster died. She was telling us that he jumped off their balcony a few days ago and their neighbors called saying they found him in their house but she never said if he was OK and that seems like a pretty traumatizing experience for that little guy. Anyways, we taught her about the temple and she asked what it would take to get married in the temple... Perfect question thank you. She wants to come to church next week so we're looking forward to that.

Also our most golden friend ever! Her names blanca and she randomly walked into the capilla last week. Anyways we taught her about the plan of salvation and the temple and then today we had temple pday so we told her we would be by the temple the whole day if she wanted to pass by and she came! We gave her a tour of the temple grounds and the mission offices and she's just so sweet. She always has the perfect questions and we can just really tell that she's truly looking for the truth.

We visited a family this week who's 8 year old daughter is getting baptized in a couple weeks and she is adorable. We walked in and she said  (translated for the benefit of understanding): hi how are you? Please take a seat. could I get you anything, a glass of water perhaps? And then she actually did talk to us in English after that because she's learning in school. And I learned so much from this little girl. She told us that she really wanted to learn English because there's a new girl in primary who only knows English and she wants her to be able to understand whats going on. Such a christ like love and that little missionary is gonna be a great full-time missionary someday.

Oh and we zone conference this last week! And I got to see hermana frame and hermana marler! I also had to share a spiritual thought in front of everyone, whoo, public speaking still isn't my strong point, especially in Spanish, but I'm working on it haha. And zone conference was incredible. We got a new member iniciative that we've been sharing with all of the members and basically it's elder uchtdorf's talk from the last conference so I'd invite you to all go and read and study it because it's amazing. Basically when we love others we will share the great blessings that we have them. And yeah it's not always easy, but why is that an excuse not to do it? You will be blessed more than you can imagine by participating in the gathering of Israel. Elder uchtdorf gives us some steps that we can follow to help us and the final step is trust that he will work his miracles. And that's really the key to missionary work. We do what we can, but really this is the Lords work and the building up of his kingdom and he will work his miracles.

I just want to share my testimony with you all this week that I know that our savior lives. He knows us perfectly. He is perfect in every way. His love is perfect and his knowledge is perfect. He knows what will make us truly happy and that is why he taught his gospel, atoned for our sins, and gave his life. He understands. And he is so excited for the day when we turn to him and return to him.

Os queremos mucho y espero que tengaís una buena semana! (haha practicing my Spain Spanish) love you all!!

Pringles save us

This week we just did a nice little tour of the south, which was very nice because all the other cities aren't as hot as malaga plus all the other hermanas pisos have air conditioning haha. We went from malaga to fuengirola to ronda to Jaén to Granada and back to malaga. And when we finally stepped of the bus back in malaga, the heat hit and humidity hit us harder than ever and we had already started back on filling those lakes just on our short walk back to piso. I love Málaga. On all of our very long bus rides we got very hungry but you're not allowed to eat on the buses because of Mascarillas. And the only food item we ever had was Pringles because it's the only good thing they sell at bus stations, so we would just slide one under the mask and into our mouths every few minutes when nobody was looking so we didn't starve to death. We really know how to do things right. When we were in Jaen on intercambios, we visited this cute member family. And like I said, they wer...

Rondaaaa

This week was a partyyyy! On Tuesday, our favorite members, Ana y Fernando, wanted to take us to their favorite buffet in fuengirola, but when we got there, the original buffet no longer exists, but in its place was a sushi buffet haha. So we went. First time sushi eater here. But my dear sweet little companion helped me pick the things that weren't gonna kill me so I very much appreciated that. And then Ana just Had to buy us these little owl family souvenirs with their names as the parents and me and Hermana Larsen as the children hahaha (pictured below) they're so sweet.  We had a Cita this week with an amiga named Joy. She's an amiga of the malaga 2 hermanas, but they're both Latinas and Joy doesn't speak Spanish so we're helping them out. She's so sweet. They had planned to teach her about. she evangelio de Jesucristo, the pasos that we have to take in this life, and invite her to be baptized. We started talking about the first paso, faith, and I asked ...

Lakes to slightly smaller lakes

A nice little heat wave from Africa came in the last couple days. In the form of very very hot wind. But it did take down the humidity levels from our normal 85%. So instead of sweating lakes all day, we are sweating slightly smaller lakes. Feeling very blessed. Except for actually not having the humidity for a day felt very strange. I felt like I was about to shrivel up from dehydration. Vamos a ver what utah does to me haha. But it's been a really good week! We had two intercambios which means a week full of parties and lots of lessons and lots of learning. Always so much fun. We have a friend named Sebastián and we were finally able to meet with him in person to give him a book of Mormón. He was so excited to have one and right after the lesson he was gonna head to the beach to lay out and read the book of mormón. But we ended up giving him two books because he wanted to share one with his mom as well. Que máquina! We also met with our friend Fredy and he came to church yesterda...
