Fuego por todos lados

This week was fueguísima! So many milagros! On Monday and Tuesday we started out the week and the transfer with leadership meetings which were incredible as always, and we got lots of ánimo and new ideas to work with this transfer, wahoo! On Wednesday we had a special noche de hogar with our barrio to animar them for our día de encontrar that we had this Saturday and that went well! We made some funny videos because claro our job as missionaries is to humiliate ourselves all the time to get other people pumped up! Love it!

On Thursday we had a milagrazo! So we received a reference for somebody that wanted us to teach english to their 5 year old daughter. So we set up a Cita and we went to visit them and first off, cutest little 5 year old of my life, but she's got an attention span of a solid 0.8 seconds. But we walked in and she was shy for about 5 seconds before she just popped off and started bouncing off the walls. But she invited her friend over and we (very patiently) taught them a little bit of English. But the best part! We were there sitting on the couch, and the mom walked in, and said, "oh, are you from the church?" and we said yes! And she told us she was baptized when she was 12 but then went menos activa and hadn't gone in a long time! After we taught English, we talked to her a little more and we left her with a book of mormon and she just hugged it and was so excited to read it again. And her husband also seemed very interested! Wahoo Bautismos!

Ok and then Saturday was our golden day. Mission finding day! We did a challenge with our ward where we would send out a new little invitation every two hours and have them doing something small like call someone and let them know God loves them, or stuff with Facebook y tal and halfway through the day, the elders were late on sending in the next challenge, and the mujeres jóvenes, sorry, the young women, started asking for it because they were enjoying it so much! And it was a very successful day. We went and did a bit of caroling out in the main plaza with the elders and a couple members and my companions violin and my ukulele and that was really fun! And then we worked a lot through facebook!! And as a companionship we found 10 new people to teach that day through technology! I've never found that many amazing people in one day! And as a mission we found over 200 new amigos! Incredible! We had a big mission group chat where we could put the names of all the people we found and it was so cool to see all the people and we had so much ánimo! And then on Sunday we were so busy haha and this whole week because now we have a ton of amigos to work with! So good!

The funniest part of the week was Mathias. Hahaha. Ok so on Saturday we did a video call with him because he works a lot the rest of the week. But the poor guy was so tired. We wanted to show him a short little 2 minute video about the spirit. And as we were showing it through the video call, his eyes began to droop, and the phone in his hand began to sway, and then all of the sudden, the phone fell out of his hand and went crashing to the floor (i swear that thing bounced like 17 times on its way down) and me and hna Larsen were cracking up and then trying to hide it as he picked up his phone and was so very confused as to what had just happened. Pobrecito. But he's doing good. He was explaining to us that all his friends at work don't have God in their lives because they're too busy with work, but he just can't do that. God is too important. He feels bad though because he gets home from work and wants to read the book of mormon for 2 hours but after one hour he has sueño and falls asleep. I'm very impressed. Still working on the whole baptism thing, but poco a poco, and he's got an incredibly strong testimony.

On Sunday we got to visit some members and teach a lot of people that we found on Saturday, and they're all so amazing! A Peruvian man that we found just showed up and asked to be baptized basically and was so excited about everything and the spirit was so strong. Unfortunately he does not live in our area. But we're excited for him and his family!

Today for pday we went to the Málaga castle and got Italian pizza for lunch, the best ever! Very sunny outside however so i may be a little red the rest of the week, woops. But we played soccer in the courtyard because there was nobody else there and i havent played in forever so that was a party!

But yeah, so many miracles this week, and this coming week there will be even more! I hope you all see them in your own lives as well! Love you all!

Pringles save us

This week we just did a nice little tour of the south, which was very nice because all the other cities aren't as hot as malaga plus all the other hermanas pisos have air conditioning haha. We went from malaga to fuengirola to ronda to Jaén to Granada and back to malaga. And when we finally stepped of the bus back in malaga, the heat hit and humidity hit us harder than ever and we had already started back on filling those lakes just on our short walk back to piso. I love Málaga. On all of our very long bus rides we got very hungry but you're not allowed to eat on the buses because of Mascarillas. And the only food item we ever had was Pringles because it's the only good thing they sell at bus stations, so we would just slide one under the mask and into our mouths every few minutes when nobody was looking so we didn't starve to death. We really know how to do things right. When we were in Jaen on intercambios, we visited this cute member family. And like I said, they wer...

Rondaaaa

This week was a partyyyy! On Tuesday, our favorite members, Ana y Fernando, wanted to take us to their favorite buffet in fuengirola, but when we got there, the original buffet no longer exists, but in its place was a sushi buffet haha. So we went. First time sushi eater here. But my dear sweet little companion helped me pick the things that weren't gonna kill me so I very much appreciated that. And then Ana just Had to buy us these little owl family souvenirs with their names as the parents and me and Hermana Larsen as the children hahaha (pictured below) they're so sweet.  We had a Cita this week with an amiga named Joy. She's an amiga of the malaga 2 hermanas, but they're both Latinas and Joy doesn't speak Spanish so we're helping them out. She's so sweet. They had planned to teach her about. she evangelio de Jesucristo, the pasos that we have to take in this life, and invite her to be baptized. We started talking about the first paso, faith, and I asked ...

Lakes to slightly smaller lakes

A nice little heat wave from Africa came in the last couple days. In the form of very very hot wind. But it did take down the humidity levels from our normal 85%. So instead of sweating lakes all day, we are sweating slightly smaller lakes. Feeling very blessed. Except for actually not having the humidity for a day felt very strange. I felt like I was about to shrivel up from dehydration. Vamos a ver what utah does to me haha. But it's been a really good week! We had two intercambios which means a week full of parties and lots of lessons and lots of learning. Always so much fun. We have a friend named Sebastián and we were finally able to meet with him in person to give him a book of Mormón. He was so excited to have one and right after the lesson he was gonna head to the beach to lay out and read the book of mormón. But we ended up giving him two books because he wanted to share one with his mom as well. Que máquina! We also met with our friend Fredy and he came to church yesterda...
